About this site
A 24 m trawler (Le Providence) sunk deep into the seabed in 16 m, 3.5 km off Frontignan and 7 km from Sète, now hard to find on the sounder. Only the bow, winch and gantry are still visible. Fixed life is sparse; the main interest is the presence of cardinalfish, uncommon in the region, and pouting. Visibility is low and the site is best visited with a club that knows it.
