About this site

Ernie's Point sits near the entrance to Puerto Galera's channel on the northwest coast of Mindoro, in the Luzon region of the Philippines, dived from small boats operating out of the Sabang and Muelle area dive centers. It reaches a maximum depth of around 27 metres over a cave bottom, with medium current and good visibility, and is rated an intermediate dive. Mackerel and trevally are common here, and divers have also reported angelfish, glassfish, grouper, lobster, mantis shrimp, and triggerfish around the site. Eddies, strong cross currents, and strong tides have also been noted as hazards at this site.
