About this site
Sabang Wreck sits in the waters off Sabang Beach in Puerto Galera, on the northern coast of Mindoro in the Philippines, a stretch of coastline known as a dive hub with numerous sites reachable by short boat rides from shore. The wreck lies shallow, topping out at around 8 metres, with good visibility and light current, making it a beginner dive. It's a popular site for macro life, with divers reporting batfish, damselfish, flying gurnard, frogfish, ghost pipefish, leaf scorpionfish, lionfish, pufferfish, scorpionfish, surgeonfish and wrasse around the structure. Divers should watch for camouflaged hazards on and near the wreck, including lionfish, scorpionfish, stonefish and demon stingers.
