Exmouth Navy Pier

Exmouth Navy Pier sits at the tip of the North West Cape in Western Australia, near the town of Exmouth on the edge of the Ningaloo coast. It is a working navy jetty rather than a natural reef feature, and diving it falls within a defence restricted area subject to national security measures, so access has historically required special permission. The dive is rated beginner, though divers should be aware of strong currents around the pilings. The understructure is known for dense encrusting growth, and divers have reported angelfish, fusiliers, grouper, nudibranchs, octopus, parrotfish, scorpionfish, snapper, and wobbegong sharks among the pylons, making it one of the richer pier dives in Australia.
