About this site
Fami Tugs lies in the open Gulf of Mexico off the Florida Panhandle, south of the Pensacola area. The site consists of sunken tug vessels placed as artificial reef structure on an otherwise sandy, featureless bottom, part of the region's reef program used to create fishing and diving habitat offshore. It is rated an advanced dive, consistent with the depth and open-water conditions typical of these offshore Panhandle wreck sites.
