First Bay-South

First Bay-South lies along the Red Sea coastline near Aqaba, in Jordan's short stretch of coast at the northern tip of the Gulf of Aqaba, and is typically reached from shore or by a short boat trip out of Aqaba town, close to the border with Israel and Egypt. The site sits over a reef bottom with a maximum depth of 18 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Damselfish, fusiliers, parrotfish, and wrasse are common here, and divers have also reported lionfish, Napoleon wrasse, octopus, scorpionfish, and stonefish on the reef. Some divers have noted excessive depth and strong downward currents as hazards at this site, so it is worth keeping an eye on those factors despite the overall beginner rating.
