About this site
Atauro Island sits in the Wetar Strait north of Dili, Timor-Leste, in waters known for steep drop-offs close to shore. Franks Crack takes its name from a local reef feature along this coastline, reached by small boat from one of the island's dive operations. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 80 metres and is rated technical. Divers have reported mackerel and tuna passing through the area.
