About this site
Gak-Ang is a reef dive site off Bohol, an island in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines known for its surrounding reefs and channels. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 40 metres over a reef bottom and is rated technical. Divers have reported a wide range of small reef life here, including angelfish, Clark's and ocellaris anemonefish, tomato clownfish, three-spot dascyllus, lizardfish, and blackspotted puffers, along with critters worth a slower look such as frogfish, ghost pipefish, lionfish, blue-ringed octopus, white-eyed moray, and nudibranchs like Anna's chromodoris and dusky nembrotha. Blue linckia and chocolate chip sea stars have also turned up on the reef. Between the depth and the mix of subjects, it rewards divers who move carefully and spend time searching the bottom rather than cruising past it.
