About this site
Galu Reef lies off the Kwale coast of southern Kenya, along the stretch of Indian Ocean shoreline south of Mombasa near Diani Beach. It sits within the coral reef system that runs along this part of the Kenyan coast, typically reached by boat from the beach resorts in the area. The site sits over a reef bottom and is generally rated an intermediate dive. Divers have reported flying gurnard, leaf scorpionfish, moray eels, sea turtles, and seahorses here.
