About this site
Garrafon lies at the southern tip of Isla Mujeres, off the Yucatan Peninsula near Cancun in Quintana Roo. The area sits along a rocky point where a marine park and snorkeling and diving operation now runs, facing the reef line that stretches along this stretch of coast. Divers here have also reported Atlantic rock-boring urchins and West Indian fuzzy chitons among the rocky substrate.
