About this site
Glasilaun sits off Inishbofin, a small island off the Connemara coast of County Galway in the west of Ireland. Diving in this stretch of the Atlantic depends on boat access from the island or the mainland harbour at Cleggan, given the exposure to open ocean swells. Divers here have reported common sea stars, dead man's fingers, Devonshire cup coral, European edible sea urchins, jewel anemones, spiny starfish, and grey seals around the site.
