About this site
North Beach Bay lies off Inishbofin Island, on the coast of County Galway in the Connacht region of Ireland, in the waters of the North Atlantic. Inishbofin sits a short ferry crossing from Cleggan on the mainland, and the island's sheltered north side gives onto this bay. It is a shore entry over a sand bottom, reaching a maximum depth of around 14 metres, and is rated a beginner dive. Divers share the bay with boats, kayaks, and other water users, so it is worth keeping an eye out for surface traffic while diving here.
