About this site
Hakibina no Maguro Ne (ハキビナのマグロ根) is a boat-dive pinnacle off Yoron Island in Kagoshima Prefecture, about 7 minutes from Tomori harbour, with moderate to strong current. It is the island's main big-fish site, named for the dogtooth tuna and trevally that gather at the offshore pinnacle when the tide is right, with rainbow runner, bigeye trevally, anthias and palette surgeonfish. The fast current makes it a site for advanced divers.
