About this site
Halifax Cliffs lies along the coastline near Shoal Bay, on the Port Stephens stretch of the New South Wales coast north of Newcastle, Australia. The site takes its name from the rocky headland it sits beneath, typical of the sandstone cliff formations found around this part of the Tasman Sea coastline. It is a shallow dive, reaching a maximum depth of around 10 metres, and is rated suitable for beginners.
