Hawthorn is a dive site off Durban, on the KwaZulu-Natal coast of South Africa along the Indian Ocean, typically reached by boat from the local harbour. It's a beginner site with a maximum depth of around 16 metres. Divers here have reported jacks and amberjacks, manta rays, moray eels, sea turtles, and even whales passing through.
