About this site
Hazama (HAZAMA) is a rocky site in the channel between Chichijima and Minamijima in the Ogasawara Islands, Tokyo, 20 minutes by boat, with a maximum depth of 30 m and an average around 18 m. The current is fast, and it brings bigeye trevally, dogtooth tuna and spotted eagle rays, while the bottom features two bowl-shaped hollows of pure white sand. Anemonefish, drummers and yellowfin goatfish are also present; the site is for advanced divers only.
