About this site

Hin Wong Pinnacle lies off the eastern shore of Koh Tao, near Hin Wong Bay, in the Gulf of Thailand off Surat Thani province in southern Thailand. It is a rock pinnacle reaching a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Nudibranchs are a regular find on the rock structure, and divers have also reported barracuda, fusiliers, grouper, pipefish, seahorses, snapper, trevally, and even the occasional whale shark passing through. Dive sites along this side of the island are typically granite formations reached by boat from the main piers on the west coast.
