About this site
HMCS Cape Breton is a former Royal Canadian Navy maintenance ship that was deliberately scuttled as an artificial reef off Nanoose Bay on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. It rests in Area E within the Whiskey Golf naval testing zone, a stretch of water the navy periodically closes for exercises. The wreck sits upright and is popular among Pacific Northwest wreck divers for its size and the marine growth that has colonized the hull over the years it has spent submerged in the Strait of Georgia. It is rated an advanced dive.
