About this site
HMS Perseus was a British Parthian-class submarine lost in the Ionian Sea off Greece in December 1941, reportedly after striking a mine near Kefalonia. The wreck rests off the Greek coast at a maximum depth of around 48 metres and is rated a technical dive. Its coordinates place it in that stretch of the Ionian off Kefalonia, where the submarine's hull remains a draw for divers tracing its wartime loss.
