About this site
House Reef sits along the shoreline in Bali, Indonesia, reached directly from the beach as a shore dive. It is shallow, with a maximum depth of around 5 metres over a reef bottom, light current, and generally great visibility, making it a beginner level dive. Frogfish, garden eels, ghost pipefish, mimic octopus, nudibranchs, and seahorses are all present here, and divers have also reported batfish, clownfish, harlequin shrimp, leaf scorpionfish, lionfish, mandarinfish, mantis shrimp, moray eels, octopuses, scorpionfish, stingrays, and trevally. The mix of small, camouflaged creatures points to a muck and macro focused site rather than one built around big animals or dramatic topography.
