About this site
Isla Saona lies off the southeastern coast of the Dominican Republic, within Parque Nacional del Este, and is one of the country's best known island destinations for boat excursions from La Romana and Bayahibe. The reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 40 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Divers have also reported sea turtles around the site.
