About this site
Shark Point lies in the Caribbean Sea off the southern coast of the Dominican Republic, in La Altagracia province near La Romana and the Bayahibe area, a common departure point for boat dives out to the reefs around Catalina and Saona islands. The site sits over a reef bottom reaching a maximum depth of around 26 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have reported eagle rays, nurse sharks, sea turtles, seahorses, and nudibranchs here.
