About this site
Jan Thiel Baai is a bay on the southern coast of Curaçao, southeast of Willemstad, a popular area for shore diving on the island. The site sits over a reef bottom and reaches a maximum depth of around 15 metres, making it a beginner dive. Divers have also reported barracuda passing through the bay.
