About this site
Beacon Point, known locally as Kabes Di Barankes, lies at the northwestern tip of Curaçao near the entrance to the Bullenbaai area on the island's leeward coast. This part of the coastline is fringing reef that gives way to a wall dropping into deeper water not far from shore, typical of Curaçao's western dive sites. The site is rated an advanced dive, reflecting its exposed position at the island's tip where current and swell can be more pronounced than at the more sheltered sites further south.
