About this site

K Rock lies off Neil Island, also known as Shaheed Dweep, in the Andaman and Nicobar archipelago in the Bay of Bengal, and dive operators on the island run boats out to this reef site as part of the local diving scene along Neil's coastline. It sits over a reef bottom with a maximum depth of around 20.5 metres and is rated an advanced dive, with medium current that can run anywhere from calm to around 2 knots. Napoleon wrasse are a regular sighting here, and divers have also reported angelfish, barracuda, batfish, clownfish, fusiliers, garden eels, glassfish, grouper, lobster, mackerel, manta rays, nudibranchs, octopus, snapper, surgeonfish, sweetlips, trevally, triggerfish, and tuna. Longer surface swims and blue water safety stops have been noted at the site, along with caution around titan triggerfish during their nesting season.
