About this site
In the remote Derawan archipelago, best known for its landlocked lake — a rare marine lake where millions of stingless jellyfish pulse through the brackish water, snorkelled rather than dived. The island's outer reef is the diving draw: steep walls and overhangs with turtles, sea snakes, barracuda and the occasional passing pelagic. A remote, off-the-track destination; the reef dives suit most certified divers.
