About this site
Kimud Shoal lies in the Camotes Sea area off Cebu, in the waters of the central Philippines between Leyte and Cebu. The shoal rises from deeper water and is reached by boat from nearby coastal communities, with a reef bottom reaching a maximum depth of around 40 metres and conditions rated advanced. Hammerhead sharks, manta rays, nudibranchs, and thresher sharks are all found here, and divers have also reported frogfish, octopus, squid, and tuna on the shoal.
