About this site
The Kiyosumi Maru lies in the Faichuk Islands group of Chuuk Lagoon, near Fefan, in the Federated States of Micronesia. Chuuk Lagoon is best known for its concentration of Japanese vessels sunk during Operation Hailstone in 1944, and this wreck sits in the western reaches of the lagoon away from the more heavily dived sites near Weno. The Faichuk Islands see far fewer boats than the main lagoon area.
