Koh Racha Yai Island

Koh Racha Yai is an island south of Phuket in the Andaman Sea, a common day trip and liveaboard stop out of Chalong or Rawai. Diving around the island reaches depths of up to 40 metres over a reef bottom, with good visibility, and is generally considered suitable for beginners. Lionfish and parrotfish are common on the reef, and divers have also reported barracuda, clownfish, mantis shrimp, moray eels, nudibranchs, sea turtles, stingrays, and tuna in the area.
