About this site
Yanui refers to the beach and rocky point at the southern tip of Phuket, near Laem Phromthep, in southern Thailand. It sits close to Ao Sane and the channel toward Koh Kaew Phi Sadet, a small island just offshore, and the reef here is a shallow, easy dive that reaches a maximum depth of around 14 metres. It is rated a beginner site, making it a common spot for introductory dives and snorkeling trips launched straight from the beach. Divers have reported bicolor blennies, Lubbock's blennies, moon wrasse, red-tailed butterflyfish, and scorpionfish tucked among the rocks and coral patches here.
