About this site
Kurone (黒根) is the northernmost site off Kozushima in the Izu Islands, Tokyo, dived as a drift; advanced divers only, with current. Drifting with schools of takabe brings longtooth grouper of over 50 kg, enormous turtles carrying barnacles on their shells, and pelagics. Without current the results are hit or miss.
