About this site
Tongari (トンガリ) is a site off Kozushima in the Izu Islands, Tokyo, named for a pointed pinnacle about 15 m high. Its south face is a colony of cup coral with countless anthias, and two or three higedai grunts of about 60 cm meet divers around the reef; intermediate and above, with current. Schools of takabe and chicken grunt are a highlight.
