About this site
La Ressagosa lies off Meda Xica in the Medes Islands, a small archipelago just off L'Estartit on the Costa Brava in Girona province, Catalonia. The islands sit within a marine reserve in the northwestern Mediterranean, and dive sites here are reached by short boat trips from L'Estartit harbor. Divers have reported comber, Mediterranean moray, and Mediterranean rainbow wrasse around the rocky terrain here, along with smaller finds such as cratena slugs and leopard sea slugs. Mediterranean red coral, violescent sea-whip, and white gorgonian have also been noted on the site, adding some color to the reef structure.
