About this site
Malongane Ledge lies off Ponta Malongane, on the coast of southern Mozambique north of Maputo near the border with South Africa. The area sits along a stretch of coastline known for rocky reef formations running parallel to the shore, typically accessed by boat launches from the beach at Ponta Malongane. The ledge itself is a wall dive reaching a maximum depth of around 55 metres and is rated technical. Divers have reported fusilier, grouper, snapper, and hammerhead sharks along the drop-off.
