About this site
Steps lies along the coast near Maputo, on the stretch of southern Mozambique's shoreline facing the Indian Ocean, with access to sites in this area generally by boat from the small dive operations based around the Maputo coastline. It is a reef dive reaching a maximum depth of around 15 metres, rated suitable for beginners. Divers here have reported butterflyfish, frogfish, jacks and amberjack, scorpionfish, sea turtles, triggerfish, and wrasse moving over the reef.
