About this site
The Marietas Islands sit at the mouth of Banderas Bay off the Nayarit-Jalisco coast, reached by boat from Puerto Vallarta or from nearby Punta Mita. The islands are uninhabited and protected as a national park, formed of volcanic rock with the well-known hidden beach cave that draws snorkelers as well as divers to the surrounding waters.
