About this site
Marina Grande is the main harbor of Capri Island, on the northern shore facing the Bay of Naples in the Campania region of Italy. It serves as the primary landing point for ferries and boats arriving from Naples and Sorrento, with the town of Capri rising on the hillside above. Diving here is shallow, reaching a maximum depth of around 4 metres, and is rated a beginner site. Divers have also reported cold water and strong currents in the area, and a hammerhead shark sighting has been noted here as well.
