About this site
Marsa Abu Galawa lies along the Red Sea coast within Qesm Hurghada, in Egypt's Red Sea Governorate, south of Hurghada, where sheltered marsas along the shoreline serve as access points for boats heading out to the offshore reefs. The site itself is a reef dive with a maximum depth of around 20 metres, rated suitable for beginners. Divers here have reported dugong, garden eels, grouper, scorpionfish, and stonefish, so care around the reef bottom is worthwhile even at these depths.
