About this site

Masaplod sits along the Dauin coastline of Negros Oriental, on the southeastern side of Negros Island in the Visayas region of the Philippines. This stretch of coast facing the Bohol Sea is dotted with black sand dive sites reached by short boat rides from resorts along the shore. The site is a reef reaching a maximum depth of around 21 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Grouper, snapper, sweetlips, trevally, and triggerfish are common over the reef, and divers have also reported jacks or amberjack, nudibranchs, sea turtles, and stingrays here.
