About this site
Dauin North lies along the coast of Dauin municipality in Negros Oriental, on the southeastern shore of Negros Island facing the Bohol Sea, part of a stretch of black sand shoreline dotted with small dive resorts and reached by short banca rides from the beach. The site sits over a reef bottom to a maximum depth of around 18 metres and is rated a beginner dive, though good buoyancy control helps given the muck terrain. Frogfish are a reliable find here, and divers have also reported barracuda, blue-ringed octopus, clownfish, cuttlefish, grouper, nudibranchs, and seahorses on the sand and rubble.
