About this site
Melasti is a dive site near Denpasar on the south coast of Bali, close to the cliffs and beach of the same name on the Bukit Peninsula. It sits on a sand bottom reaching around 30 metres, rated a beginner dive with light current and good visibility. Melasti is known for its macro life, with frogfish, ghost pipefish, harlequin shrimp, mimic octopus, nudibranchs, octopus, rhinopias, scorpionfish, and seahorses all found here. Divers have also reported leaf scorpionfish, lionfish, and pufferfish, and while conditions are generally easy, some divers have noted current, swell, and waves at times.
