About this site
Meros lies off the Guanacaste coast of Costa Rica, in the waters near the Santa Elena peninsula and the Papagayo area on the country's northern Pacific side. Dive sites in this stretch are typically reached by boat from towns such as Playas del Coco or Culebra, out toward the rocky islets and points that dot this coastline. Meros is a beginner dive reaching a maximum depth of around 18.3 metres. Divers have reported angelfish, frogfish, grouper, nudibranchs, octopus, parrotfish, pufferfish, seahorses, and stingrays around the site.
