About this site
Milimani lies off Mafia Island, part of the Mafia Archipelago on the Tanzanian coast within the Pwani region, in waters that fall under the Mafia Island Marine Park south of the Rufiji Delta and reached by boat from settlements along the coast. The reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 23 metres and is rated an advanced dive, with divers noting difficult diving procedures at the site. Divers have reported grouper, lionfish, lobster, moray eels, reef sharks, and snapper around the reef.
