Moalboal reef area

Moalboal is a coastal town on the southwest side of Cebu Island in the Philippines, facing the Tañon Strait between Cebu and Negros. Its reef area sits close to shore, with the coastline dropping into deeper water not far from the beach, and the town has long served as a base for boats heading out to the various reefs and points along this stretch of coast. The reef itself reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres, is rated a beginner dive, and visibility is generally great. Nudibranchs are common on the reef, and divers have also reported frogfish, grouper, lionfish, parrotfish, pipefish, and wrasse in the area.
