About this site
Tongo Point sits along the coastline of Moalboal on the western side of Cebu island in the Visayas region of the Philippines, an area known for its steep drop-offs facing the Tanon Strait. Dive operators based around Panagsama Beach commonly run boat trips out to points like this along the same stretch of coast. The site is a wall dive reaching around 28 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have reported frogfish, grouper, lionfish, nudibranchs, and pipefish along the wall, making it a spot worth slowing down for on the muck-and-macro side of things.
