About this site
A simple grounding at the west end of Crab Island Shoal quickly led to the loss of this vessel. Deck & rigging were salvaged but some of her coal cargo is strewn about on the bottom, with a few small artifacts mixed in. Lies in about 12.2 m; sank 1874.
