About this site
Monument (Trikora) sits in the Lembeh Strait, between the northeastern tip of Sulawesi and Lembeh Island, and is dived out of Bitung or the nearby resorts. Much of the strait is known for its dark volcanic sand slopes and muck diving, though this site is classed as a reef dive, reaching a maximum depth of around 25 metres. As with the rest of the strait, the emphasis here is on close-focus, unusual finds rather than big animals or open water visibility.
