About this site
The Nayak wreck lies off Malaysia's east coast, in the South China Sea waters near Tioman and its surrounding archipelago, an area reached by boat from nearby coastal towns. The site sits at a maximum depth of around 24 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Nudibranchs are common on the wreck, and divers have also reported bannerfish, barracuda, fusiliers, lionfish, scorpionfish, snapper, stonefish, and sweetlips around the structure. Fishing line tangles, well-camouflaged scorpionfish, and sharp metal edges have also been noted as hazards, so care around the wreck's structure is worthwhile.
