About this site
Tioman Island lies off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia in the South China Sea, part of Pahang state despite the broader Kepulauan Riau reference, and is ringed by a number of separate dive sites rather than being one single spot. This particular site reaches a maximum depth of around 17 metres and is rated an intermediate dive, with reports of low visibility and silt as hazards to watch for. Nudibranchs are a regular find here, and divers have also reported barracuda, jacks or amberjack, mandarinfish, pipefish, and sea turtles, though this comes from a single source and should not be taken as a complete picture of what the site holds.
