About this site
The Nebo wreck lies off the KwaZulu-Natal coast of South Africa, near the Umkomaas and Aliwal Shoal area south of Durban, a stretch known for rocky reef systems and boat access from small craft harbors along the shore. The wreck rests on a sand and reef bottom at a maximum depth of around 27 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Tuna are a regular sighting on the wreck, and divers have also reported barracuda, bull sharks, fusiliers, grouper, guitarfish, hammerhead sharks, nudibranchs, octopus, scorpionfish, and squid around the site.
